    Please join the Town of Carrboro as we cut the ribbon for the Homestead-Chapel Hill High School Multi-Use Path Tuesday August 21st at 6pm. Please park at Chapel Hill High School Parking lot – 1709 High School Road. Neighbors can walk via sidewalks from Claremont, Winmore, Claremont South, Wexford, Camden, Highlands. Please do NOT park along Homestead Road. You can view a map of the ribbon cutting location below. Transportation will be provided for those who may need assistance. Light refreshments will also be provided. We are excited and ask you to come celebrate with us!

    El Centro Hispano, Inc. presents, for the fifth consecutive time, its successful Latin American Festival in Carrboro-Chapel Hill, a celebration of cultures, rhythms, typical food and much more. In a vibrant atmosphere of cultural diversity, music, typical food, crafts, art and folk dances, the Latin American Festival will be held on Sunday, August 26 from 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm on West Weaver Street (between N. Greensboro St and Lidnsay St.) As in previous years, there will be musical groups, traditional dances, activities for children, typical food, sale of handicrafts and art, information of agencies and businesses and much more. The event will culminate with a great Zumbathon, with two hours of Zumba party, with five excellent instructors, in order to promote physical activity.

Come cozy up with a mug of something warm and ready to be wowed! Sign-up begins at 4:30pm in the shop: first come, first serve!
