On Sept. 28, 2021, Investigators with the Carrboro Police Department arrested and charged Kenneth Wilson Fearrington of Carrboro, age 57, with Breaking & Entering, Larceny, and Possession of Burglary Tools. This arrest stemmed from an incident that occurred earlier that morning.
At approximately 4 a.m. Tuesday morning, Sept. 28, 2021, an officer with the Carrboro Police Department was conducting a directed patrol in the area of Carol Street and observed a suspicious person. Mr. Fearrington was identified and charged with breaking into a nearby shed and taking multiple powered lawn tools.
Since July of this year, there have been approximately 25 incidents in the area surrounding Carol Street where a subject has broken into sheds and stolen hand tools and power lawn tools. The total amount of property stolen is estimated to be over $28,000. These cases are still under investigation and additional charges are anticipated.
