CARRBORO, N.C. -- On Tuesday, June 7, 2022, Carrboro’s Town Council unanimously voted to adopt the Carrboro Connects 2022-2042 Comprehensive Plan! As was discussed during the Council Meeting, plan adoption is only the beginning as the real achievements and progress for the Town will take place over the next five to 20 years of plan implementation. The plan is built on the twin foundations of racial equity and climate action and, for the first time, brings the goals of the Town as a whole into a single document. From supporting local businesses to expanding affordable housing options and access to open space, the plan builds on Carrboro’s leadership in taking bold action to meet its goals.
To all who have participated in this process in some way, thank you. Carrboro Connects is the product of a community-wide planning effort.
