The Carrboro Police Department has charged Lar Wah, 20, of Graham, with six counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill after an investigation into a shooting that occurred at the parking deck at 370 E. Main St. on Friday, Sept. 16. Wah was confined in the Orange County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond.
Investigation revealed that two groups of people engaged in an argument that escalated into a physical altercation and shots being fired. Multiple people suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the incident. The initial media release sent on Sept. 19 stated that all the injuries were not from the shots being fired. Today’s media release corrects that information as further investigation revealed that one of the injuries did come from the shooting.
