Harris Teeter will distribute free water to multiple locations in Chapel Hill and Carrboro. The free distribution will begin at 9 p.m. Friday and will continue as long as supplies last. Shoppers will receive gallon or three-liter water jugs—limit three per person.
Distribution location sinclude Harris Teeter locations at University Place (2110 S Estes Drive),Chapel Hill North (1800 Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard), Meadowmont Village(116 W Barbee Chapel Road), and Carr Mill Mall in Carrboro (310 N GreensboroStreet).
Public water distribution centers will be at McDougle Elemenatary (890 Old Fayetteville Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27516) and Carrboro High School (201 Rock Haven Rd, Carrboro, NC 27510). They will open at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 4. Water at these distribution points will be dispersed in a manner that will allow as many residents as possible to be served.
