Tickets are now available for the 12th Anniversary Carrboro Film Festival!

This amazing two-day film festival will be held at the ArtsCenter in Carrboro, North Carolina on November 18 & 19, 2017.

CARRBORO, NC (October 15, 2017) — The Carrboro Film Festival (CFF) is celebrating its 12th Anniversary this year! It has grown to become the premiere festival in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. Featuring world-class films from both North Carolina and across the globe, the CFF is known for packed houses and standing ovations. This year’s film festival features forty-four films, including short films, feature films, animated films, experimental films, and even a music video! All genres are represented, from comedy, drama, love stories, and even horror — there is definitely something for everyone!

“This year, the film selection committee was blown away by not only the amount of film submissions we received, but also the variety, creativity, and excellent filmmaking represented,” says Carrboro Film Festival co-founder Nic Beery. “Out of these hundreds of entries, 44 incredible films will be shown during the 2-day festival weekend. It’s going to be a real cinematic treat that movie-goers won’t want to miss!”

In addition to two days of wonderful films, the kick-off event is a screening of Buster Keaton’s “Sherlock Jr.” with a live, original score written by local composer Noah Balamucki and performed by Andrew Zalasak. There will also be a Q&A with the filmmakers present after each film block is shown. After the final film is shown, a variety of awards will be presented, including Best Narrative Feature, Best Narrative Short and Best Documentary. Being the creative town that Carrboro is, the unique trophies presented to winners are made by Mike Roig, renowned Carrboro sculptor.

This two-day celebration of Film ART, NOT Film Business, is recognized by filmmakers the world over as a place to immerse themselves with like-minded film creators, creators of art in cinema. The Carrboro Film Festival is eclectic and powerful, humorous and moving, independent and edgy.

The Festival organizers take great pains to present the films in the best way possible, using huge screens, and state of the art sound systems. High-quality presentation is paramount, so both filmmakers and audience members can watch these films as they were meant to be seen.

Tickets are just $20 for a two-day pass, and $15 for a one-day pass. Where else can you see 44 films for $20? Purchase tickets at the ArtsCenter Box Office or online at: Seating is limited, so be sure to get your tickets now! It’s going to be a truly memorable weekend of film and fun!
