BOARD OF ALDERMEN MEETING SUMMARY FOR 9/25/18
The Carrboro Board of Aldermen met on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Following is a brief summary of noteworthy actions. It does not include all actions taken at the meeting and should not be viewed as official minutes. PROCLAMATIONS AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:

  • Mayor Lavelle proclaimed October 10, 2018 as Walk to School Day.
  • Deputy Town Clerk Andressa Thorne Charged Paul Clark to the Recreation and Parks Committee.
CONSENT AGENDA:
  • The Board approved the meeting minutes for the June 26, 2018 and September 4, 2018 meetings. 
  • The Board approved a Resolution to set a Public Hearing on November 27, 2018 on an Ordinance to amend the Town Code and Land Use Ordinance to establish membership limitations on Boards, Committees, and Commissions.
  • The Board appointed Nicholas Johnson, Vickie Brown, Sharon Reilly, and Hallee Haywood to the Appearance Commission/Neighborhood Preservation District Commission. 
  • The Board approved a request for home repair funds from “Rebuilding Together of the Triangle.”
  • The Board approved the revised Land Use and Permit Fee Wavier Policy related to Affordable Housing.
PUBLIC HEARING:
  • Planning Administrator Christina Moon presented the Board with the Land Use Ordinance Text Amendments relating to the Lloyd Farm Development.  The Board then opened the floor up for public comment.
  • The Board decided to continue the public hearing to October 23, 2018.
