presents WEST END POETS WEEKEND

West End Poets
Weekend
October 13 and 14

The Carrboro Music Festival will back this September for the 10th year. This day long, free festival features all styles of music. Over 120 acts perform - some solo, some in groups - on 15 or more stages all over Carrboro.

The Carrboro Music Festival is an event where performers, both professional and amateur, provide their talent completely free of charge. This volunteer-powered festival couldn't happen without everyone's contribution of skills, time, money, and resources, as well as the support of the Town of Carrboro's Recreation and Parks Department, the Orange County Arts Commission, and local businesses and individuals.

For more information visit the Carrboro Music Festival web page.

"West End Poets' Weekend"
The Weekend of October 13 and 14

The Poetry Alive series is a year round program that will feature a variety of events; ranging from readings by a number of local poets, workshops for all ages, to a two day event in October called "West End Poets' Weekend".

A poetry newsletter -'West End Poetry' has been created within the department to promote both our poetry programs, and events held in the area. The newsletter will be issued bi-monthly, and the works of poets from this area, or from those visiting this area will be featured. For a copy of the previous newsletters:
