POLICE OFFICER – Town of Carrboro. Full-time permanent. Performs entry-level law enforcement work on assigned rotating shift. High school graduate or equivalent and possession of valid NC driver's license required. NC Basic Law Enforcement Training certification preferred but not required. Successful candidate must meet state and departmental requirements, including a comprehensive background investigation, drug screening, and medical and psychological examinations. Salary range: $36,187-$56,089; excellent benefits. Closing date: Feb 17, 2012.

BOND CAPITAL PROJECTS MANAGER – Town of Carrboro (Pub Work & Planning Depts); FT/Temp. (approx. 18 mo. assignment) Performs difficult technical work managing the communication and progress of capital projects. Coordinates, reviews, and administers project documents with Town staff and project stakeholders; tracks and manages project scheduling; coordinates and participates in design review and final plan review. Associate or Technical degree in construction, civil engineering, or related field required with extensive experience in municipal planning, engineering, or project management. Excellent benefits provided for duration of assignment. Salary range: $37,996 - $58,894 DOQ and internal equity. Application deadline: January 18, 2012.
