well as the fine baskets it produces. A new studio format
now accommodates the lives of busy basket makers.
Studio Fee: Pay $62.50 for any

#888 Here is a 45 minute class
focusing on the mid-section. Your neck muscles will also become
stronger over the long run!
A 5 minute warm-up is followed by 20 minutes of abdominal work.
Gluts are worked while lying on your back for about 5
minutes. There will be 15 minutes of stretching in the end. This
class is also a great way to tighten up and curb your
appetite before your next meal.

ETHNIC VEGETARIAN COOKING
|

Whether for health, environmental or ethical reasons, or to expand
their repertoire, many people areincreasingly
interested in learning to cook vegetarian dishes. This class will
introduce students to basics about vegetarianism,
including vegetarian nutrition, and serve as a hands-on introduction
to cooking a variety of ethnic vegetarian dinners.
We will cover cuisine of countries like India, Greece, Italy, Mexico,
Thailand, Indonesia, and America. In each class,
students will work in teams of four to make several side dishes,
one or two main dishes, and a dessert. We will eat
at the end, and generally have yummy leftovers to take home.

KNITTING FOR BEGINNERS AND INTERMEDIATES

Knitting is easy to learn, portable and therapeutic, and at the
end of all your efforts, you'll have a beautiful product for
yourself, friends or family. We will learn the garter stitch, stocking
stitch rib,casting on and binding off, and the fair
isle and lace techniques. We'll also discuss how to 'read' patterns
and how to make corrections. Expect to knit a hat,
scarf, booties or small bag by the end of the course. Intermediate
knitters welcome! Beginners: Bring to the first class
a pair of #8 knitting needles and one ball of yarn with the label
on the ball of yarn, for size #8 knitting needles.

With Corey "Hubcap" Sims
Corey Sims received his Bachelor's Degree in Music from Berklee
College of Music in Boston with a Major in Composition and also
studied classical guitar at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is certified to
teach beginning Suzuki piano but also teaches intermediate students
using a variety of teaching methods. He currently plays in a handful
of bands in the Chapel Hill area as well as playing solo piano.
This presentation features Corey playing the piano and discussing
New Orleans Jazz and boogie-woogie piano styles.
